I’m reporting this issue, just curious if it has snagged anyone else.

so unless screenflow is running, it really should be an empty folder. Currently, I've created 'Open Captions' because these allow me the design options I need to customize the subtitles (color, size, font options), but noticed when I got to export, my only options are 'None' or 'Burn Captions into Video.' After some research, I figured I was running into this issue because of (a) bugs in Premiere Pro 2018, and/or. By definition, a scratch folder is just that, everything inside it should be purged and managed by ScreenFlow (and should always be empty when you quit the program, and any orphans should be resolved if left behind because of an unexpected quit). scc file, but it’s not apparent which file belongs to which project in that scratch folder (and obviously there are many orphan scratch files which build up over time, so it has to be manually purged). Unfortunately the single file option isn’t a viable alternative (and I find it completely useless) because if you use it you will have very serious problems trying to manage anything captured from within screenflow (audio, screen capture, or video) since it remains in the scratch folder and is never copied into the. scc file (or should be copied there anyway) as well as kept in an external media folder. Obviously that means I’ll have to retain all of my original media, meaning my projects will be twice as big as they need to be, since all of the media will be copied into the. So far this has ruined 3 projects, where the original media was deleted, assuming it had been copied into the. I have no clue when or why this is happening.
scc file, but if I open it up and examine it, they are no longer there. These are all packaged documents so the asset should be inside the screenflow. I have a couple of others which are missing video files that were placed in documents. The screenshot below, two jpeg files that were placed are now labeled as “unknown.jpeg” even though the video was at one time exported and those 2 jpegs are clearly present. I do not get a warning that the asset cannot be found, and it still appears on the timeline. Typically what I get is a project file that is identical in size to the original, but when I open in several of the assets are blank.
#Moviecaptioner not exporting scc file archive#
For some unknown reason some older projects that have been moved to an archive drive have issues if I move them back to a working drive.
